These are not the greatest pictures but oh well. The pictures above was taken at one of the very few rest stops. My photogenic self is trying to illustrate just how large Texas really is. It takes about the same amount of time to cross Arizona and New Mexico as it does to reach Austin (right finger) from the west TX border. Crazy, I know. I also took a picture of a sign that said 'Watch for snakes' here but you can't read it. Yikes. The other picture is from the moving truck when it arrived. Those poor movers...I walked out to the truck with a box cutter and a camera (prepared for the worst). I couldn't figure out how to turn this dumb picture but the box on the far right is at the bottom of a stack of 5 large boxes. If you look carefully you can see the words 'wine glasses'. The other sides of the box say things like fragile, don't stack, you're an idiot (just kidding about that one). The box above reads 'computer monitor/careful'. What is wrong with people? I was so upset, thinking all this stuff was broken. Josh opened the wine glasses and out of 20, only 2 were broken. At one point we thought were missing a box. I told the movers they couldn't leave until we found it. Josh said that we couldn't make them hostages. That Josh, he ruins everything. I let them go eventually. Turns out, one box had 2 numbers on it (each box was numbered with a little yellow piece of tape). Moving really did go pretty well. Packing up in San Diego was a bit stressful. The drive here was saved by walkie-talkies (and kitty valium). And unpacking went smooth thank to lots of Bud Light. Only the best for the Garretts.
